DC Abhishek Sharma inspects public infrastructure

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today inspected the area beyond Jhula Bridge near the Ziarat to assess the condition of the protection wall and the safety of the bridge. The Deputy Commissioner found the protection wall damaged, posing a risk to the bridge and public movement and directed officers concerned to take immediate measures for restoration and ensure necessary safety precautions without delay.

During his visit to the town, the Deputy Commissioner also noticed illegal dumping of waste in the zone areas and directed the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee (MC) Rajouri, to clear the waste by evening and maintain sanitation and waste management to prevent recurrence.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed Tehsildar Rajouri and the Executive Officer, MC Rajouri, to monitor such locations and ensure timely corrective measures wherever required. He said negligence affecting public safety or sanitation would be dealt with as per rules.
