First test flight of Vikram 1, India's first private orbital rocket, is now fully integrated and stacked at Sriharikota and is days away from launch. The launch window is open from 12 July to 4 August. The mission has been named Aagaman, Sanskrit for "Arrival".
It marks the arrival of India's private orbital launch capability on the global stage. The primary objective of the mission is to capture critical flight data that will lay the foundation for a high-cadence, on-demand launch capability for the fast-growing global space economy.
Please find attached the press release with details of the upcoming launch, mission objectives, launch timeline and target orbit. Also attached is an image of the fully stacked Vikram 1, the first test flight vehicle. Standing seven storeys tall, with an all-carbon composite structure, it is now ready to take on gravity.
