MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, MLA from the Central Assembly constituency, today inaugurated the construction of a mini ground for cricket lovers on vacant land adjacent to the Janana Hospital at Dhaba Khatika. MLA Dr. Gupta stated that a gym will also be built alongside this ground. He added that the Punjab government is developing playgrounds for the youth of Punjab as part of the War Against Drugs campaign.

In this initiative, a mini cricket ground will be created on the vacant land adjacent to the Janana Hospital by installing an astro-turf. 20-foot-high nets will be installed around the ground. The ground will be fully lit so that cricket lovers can practice here even at night.

MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that this mini ground will be a center of attraction for the people of Dhaba Khatika and the surrounding area. He added that this valuable space had previously gone unnoticed.

When this came to his attention, a tender was issued to build a turf mini-ground for cricket fans. He stated that the work order has been issued and work has begun at a cost of approximately 45 lakh rupees.

He added that work on a gym will also begin alongside the ground, which will benefit the youth. MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that development work is being continuously carried out in the Central Assembly constituency, focusing on the convenience of the people.

In a series of developments, the construction of Gali Sunyaria and its surrounding streets in Ward No. 55 was inaugurated today. The sewerage system in this street will be repaired and the street will be paved with concrete.

MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, pilgrims are being sent on the holy pilgrimage. This scheme being implemented by the Punjab government to facilitate people's pilgrimage to religious places is a commendable initiative.

He said that ration kits are being distributed to needy families through the "Chief Minister Meri Rasoi" scheme. The Aam Aadmi Party government stands firmly with needy families, ensuring that no family is deprived of essential items.

These ration kits are not just a help, but a small effort to provide respect, security, and a sense of belonging to every family. Dr. Sarthak Gupta, Mannu Pehelwan, Gurmeet Singh, Sajan Kumar, Madam Rajni, Lakshmi Rani, Sonu Mahajan, Rohit Kumar, and local residents were present on the occasion.
