Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora today paid obeisance at the sacred shrine of Baba Bhai Mool Chand Sahib in Sunam and offered prayers for the prosperity of the region, the well-being of its people, communal harmony, and the overall development of the city. Arora said that religious places convey the message of humility, service, and humanity, and play a vital role in keeping society united.
On this occasion, the newly elected office bearers of the Municipal Council, Sunam, were also present with him, including Council President Manpreet Bansal, Senior Vice President Yadwinder Singh Nirman, Vice President Meena Rani, and other councillors. Describing the formation of the new team as a positive step towards the city’s development, Aman Arora expressed confidence that the team would live up to the expectations of the people.
The Cabinet Minister said that the newly elected office bearers and councillors had formally begun their responsibilities from today. Before assuming charge, the entire team visited this holy place to seek blessings so that Baba Bhai Mool Chand Sahib’s grace would remain with them and Sunam would continue its path of progress.
Aman Arora said that the government has been making continuous efforts for the development of Sunam city and that, with the cooperation of the new Municipal Council team, development works would gain further momentum. He added that record-breaking development works had been carried out in the city over the past four and a half years, and in the coming time, the pace of development would be accelerated twofold and fourfold.
He further stated that the government remains committed to improving basic civic amenities, including roads, sewerage, sanitation, drinking water, and other public welfare services, with the aim of developing Sunam into a model city. The shrine’s management committee extended a warm welcome to Cabinet Minister Aman Arora and all the office bearers of the Municipal Council.
Committee members Mohan Sarup Joshi, Balbir Joshi, Surinder Modgil, Baldev Singh Joshi, Amarjit Singh Joshi, and Ajit Sarup Joshi honoured Aman Arora, Manpreet Bansal, Yadwinder Singh Nirman, Meena Rani, and other councillors by presenting them with mementos. On this occasion, Sanjay Kumar Sanju was also specially honoured, and his contributions to public welfare were highly appreciated.
