DC Ayushi Sudan reviews performances of banks at DLRC-DCC meeting

A meeting of the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) for the quarter ended March 2026 was held today in the Conference Hall, District Administrative Complex, Nandani Hills. Deputy Commissioner Ayushi Sudan chaired the meeting and reviewed the performance of banks under the Annual Credit Plan for the financial year 2025-26.
The meeting also reviewed the progress achieved in the implementation of Government-sponsored self-employment and social security schemes. The meeting was convened by Lead District Manager (LDM), SBI Nishu Suppal and attended by LDO, RBI; DDM, NABARD; Chief Agriculture Officer; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer; District Sheep Husbandry Officer; AD Fisheries; District Coordinator, J&K Bank; representatives of SBI, PNB and JKGB; besides officials of other sponsoring Government departments and banks.
The LDM informed the house that banks operating in the district recorded deposits of Rs. 9,219.18 crore and advances of Rs. 5,334.06 crore as on March 31, 2026. The CD Ratio of the district stood at 57.86%. Achievement under the Annual Credit Plan for 2025-26 stood at Rs. 3,536.90 crore against an annual target of Rs. 3,760.20 crore, registering an achievement of 94%.
Under the Priority Sector, banks achieved Rs. 1,922.93 crore against the annual target of Rs. 2,056.22 crore, while under the Non-Priority Sector, the achievement stood at Rs. 1,613.97 crore against the annual target of Rs. 1,775.27 crore, registering an achievement of 95%.
The Deputy Commissioner conducted an extensive review of self-employment schemes, with special focus on PMEGP, JKREGP, KCC, HADP, PMAY, NRLM and NULM. She impressed upon the banks to achieve 100% digitization of bank accounts.
She further advised all sponsoring agencies and banks to spread awareness among the public about the self-employment schemes launched by the Government and motivate eligible beneficiaries to avail benefits of the same.
She further directed all banks to clear pending cases sponsored by different government departments and agencies and enhance lending, in the Agriculture and Allied sectors, Mission YUVA, PM Surya Ghar, MSME, Housing and Education sectors to achieve a healthy CD Ratio.
She also directed the banks to ensure coverage of all eligible beneficiaries under social security schemes, including PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks presented by the Lead District Manager.
