Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that in order to realize Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat-2047, the Haryana Government has initiated work on the comprehensive vision of Viksit Haryana-2047.
With this objective, deliberations were held today with all legislators of the state on Viksit Haryana-2047. The theme of this campaign has been named “Meri Viksit Vidhansabha” (My Developed Assembly Constituency), through which the journey towards a developed Haryana will begin from every Assembly constituency.
Addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas on Monday, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that a roadmap for the next 20 years is being prepared to make Haryana a prosperous, self-reliant and developed state. Under this initiative, every MLA will act as a “Vision Champion” for his or her constituency by identifying local challenges, opportunities and development priorities and preparing a development action plan.
Tourism and Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma was also present on the occasion.Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government has set several ambitious targets for 2047. These include taking Haryana’s economy beyond one trillion dollars, raising per capita annual income to over Rs. 40 lakh, increasing women’s labour force participation to above 45 per cent and achieving 100 per cent female literacy.
In addition, the government aims to provide quality education and healthcare services to every citizen and ensure access to clean drinking water through piped supply to every household.The Chief Minister said that under the “Meri Viksit Vidhansabha” campaign, all MLAs will visit their respective constituencies during July and August to directly interact with people.
Suggestions will be sought from villages, wards, farmers, youth, women, industries, self-help groups and social organizations. Based on these inputs, a people-centric roadmap for a Viksit Haryana will be prepared.He said that special emphasis will be laid on key sectors such as education and skill development, health and nutrition, and water, sanitation and environment.
The government aims to ensure education for every girl child, skills for every youth and employment opportunities for every citizen. Efforts will also be made to raise employability to 95 per cent and to strengthen linkages between ITIs, polytechnics, colleges and industries.
The Chief Minister said that in the health sector, the targets include reducing the maternal mortality rate to below 10 and the infant mortality rate to below 5, while ensuring 100 per cent immunization and institutional deliveries. In the field of water and environmental conservation, the government has resolved to provide safe drinking water to every household, turn water conservation into a mass movement and increase the share of renewable energy to over 70 per cent.
Nayab Singh Saini said that this initiative is not confined to a single government or one tenure, but is a long-term roadmap for Haryana’s future up to 2047. He said that previous governments formulated plans keeping only elections in mind and released manifestos based on a five-year perspective, implementing only a few of the promises while repackaging the remaining ones for subsequent years.
In contrast, the present government is formulating plans with a 20-year perspective and taking concrete steps for their implementation.To achieve the goals of Viksit Haryana-2047, annual targets will be fixed for each department, regular reviews will be conducted and a dashboard-based monitoring system will be implemented.
The Chief Minister said that he himself will personally review the progress of every Assembly constituency. Nayab Singh Saini expressed confidence that a Viksit Haryana would become the driving force of a Viksit Bharat and would play a leading role in realizing Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s vision.
