Harbhajan Singh ETO Holds Public Interaction Meetings in Jandiala Guru Wards

General Category Women to Receive ₹1,000 and SC Women ₹1,500 Per Month as Honorarium from July: ETO

Punjab Public Works Minister and MLA from Jandiala Guru constituency, S. Harbhajan Singh ETO, today held public interaction meetings in Wards No. 1, 14 and 15 of Jandiala Guru and directly interacted with residents while listening to their grievances and suggestions. Addressing the gatherings, Cabinet Minister S. Harbhajan Singh ETO said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is set to fulfil its final guarantee as well. 

He stated that from July onwards, eligible women belonging to the General Category will receive an honorarium of ₹1,000 per month, while women belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category will receive ₹1,500 per month. He further said that Punjab is the first state in the country to provide free annual medical treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh to all its citizens. 

He added that this healthcare initiative has proved to be a boon for Punjabis, enabling even economically weaker families to avail quality healthcare services whenever required. S. ETO said that the free electricity scheme has helped Punjabis save thousands of crores of rupees over the past four and a half years. 

He noted that more than 90 percent of households in the state are receiving zero electricity bills, providing significant financial relief to the common people. He emphasized that the Punjab Government remains committed to public welfare and is continuously working for the development and well-being of every section of society.

On the occasion, MC Aman Virk,  Robin, Satinder Singh, local residents and a large number of prominent citizens were also present.
