In a heartfelt gesture ahead of the prestigious Women’s Under-20 Handball World Championship 2026 to be held in China, Shri Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, today met the players and coaching staff of Team India and extended his best wishes as they prepare to represent the nation on the global stage.
Interacting with the players and coaches, the Deputy Commissioner commended their dedication, discipline and relentless hard work. He appreciated the rigorous training and preparation undertaken by the team and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver an outstanding performance at the championship.
He also acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the coaching staff in nurturing talent and building a strong and competitive team capable of excelling at the international level.
