Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that the Aam Aadmi Party government’s final countdown had started, sooner than expected and reaffirmed that the party will not touch the double digit mark in the ensuing assembly elections. He also said that the AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was daydreaming about Bhagwant Mann becoming the Chief Minister once again, saying, people of Punjab have already had enough and they want to get rid of this government, sooner the better.
Warring reiterated and reaffirmed that the AAP leadership was daydreaming of forming the government in Punjab once again. “Take it in writing from me that what to speak of forming the government, the AAP will not even touch the double digit mark this time and may be it will not be able to find enough candidates to field in these elections”, he noted, while adding, “over half of their sitting MLAs are just waiting for the right time to jump from the sinking ship”.
He said that if the AAP leadership believes that it can once again befool the people of Punjab, it was badly mistaken. “You can fool some people some time, some people all the time, all people some time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time”, he told the AAP leadership.
The PCC president accused the AAP of betraying the women of Punjab on Rs 1000 monthly cash assistance. He said, as Kejriwal has himself claimed that the elections might be held in the month of November, the AAP will now be giving just Rs 3000 to women of Punjab when they should have been given Rs 60,000.
“This is the greatest betrayal and the AAP will pay for it”, he asserted. Warring took a dig at the AAP supremo’s claims that his party had provided an honest government in Punjab.
“This only shows that you are not aware of the ground reality in Punjab as not a leaf moves here without bribe”, he told Kerjiwal adding that under the AAP government corruption had broken all the records. The PCC president expressed surprise at how Kejriwal could announce that elections in Punjab will be advanced by three months and will be held in the month of November this year.
“Shouldn’t this information come from the Election Commission of India?” he asked, wondering whether Kejriwal has some “direct connection” with the commission like his A-team, the BJP.
