CMAI’s 83rd National Garment Fair - Kidswear Edition Set to Witness Record Industry Participation

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), the apex body of the Indian apparel industry will be organizing the 83rd National Garment Fair (NGF) – Kidswear edition, one of India’s largest and most influential B2B apparel sourcing events.

Scheduled from 22nd to 24th June 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (Nesco), Mumbai, the fair will attract thousands of buyers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers, e-commerce platforms and industry stakeholders from across the country. The event will showcase the latest collections from leading brands and manufacturers, offering a comprehensive sourcing platform for the rapidly expanding Kidswear segment.

Spread across more than 2.25 lakh sq. ft. of exhibition space, the fair will feature over 630 Kidswear brands presenting a diverse range of products spanning infantwear, toddlers, juniors, occasion wear, casual wear, fashion apparel, accessories and allied categories.

The Kidswear apparel market in India is currently estimated at approximately US$ 22 billion (around INR 2 lakh crore), making it one of the most significant and rapidly evolving segments within the country’s apparel industry. The category has recorded an impressive 8% growth over the previous year and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 9.4% through 2029, driven by strong consumer demand and evolving fashion preferences.

The Kidswear edition comes at a time when India's children's apparel market is witnessing robust growth, driven by comfort, quality, fashion, rising disposable incomes, increasing brand consciousness amongst parents, growing urbanisation, noticeable shift toward premium yet affordable brands that offer superior fabrics, better fits and thoughtful international designs apart from the rapid expansion of organised retail and e-commerce channels.

This edition will showcase several leading Kidswear brands including Blazo, Trend Domain, Mikke House, Ruff, Danaboi, Deal, DS Yuvraaj, Napoleon, Zeelmil Art, Teddy Bear Kingdom, Lemonmint, Leo N Babes, Little Bull, Blueberry, Ollypop, Peppermint, Zola, Charchit, Gusto, Little Kangaroos, Vitamins, Ethni'ks Neu-Ron, Toffyhouse and Tadpole, among many others.

Speaking on the occasion, Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, said " Building on the remarkable success of its inaugural standalone edition at NGF last year, the Kidswear edition returns with greater scale and stronger industry interest, reflecting the growing importance of this growing segment in India's apparel market.

The segment has emerged as one of the most dynamic categories within apparel supported by favourable demographics, rising consumer aspirations and increased demand for quality and branded apparel. NGF presents an apt platform for brands, manufacturers and MSMEs to expand their market reach.

We are confident that this edition too will generate significant business opportunities and further strengthen India's position as a leading apparel sourcing destination." Highlighting the fair's continued growth, Rohit Munjal, Chairman, CMAI Fair Sub-committee, said " This year’s Kidswear edition has recorded a 10% increase in exhibitor participation over the previous edition, reflecting the growing confidence that brands and manufacturers place in NGF as a proven business platform.

The strong exhibitor response, coupled with increasing buyer interest, underscores the fair’s relevance and value to the industry." Commenting on the business prospects, Anand Chokshi, Joint Chairman, Fair Sub-committee, CMAI, added "We are encouraged by the current 20% increase in buyer registrations over last year.

This strong response will continue till the fair which underscores the growing demand in one of the fastest-growing categories of the apparel market."
