District Governor Ravi Prakash Pays Official Visit to Rotary Club Ropar Central

Rotary Club Ropar Central recently organized a special event to mark the conclusion of its annual term as part of the District Governor’s Official Visit. District Governor 3080 Rotarian Ravi Prakash and First Lady Rotarian Shalini officially attended the event. On the occasion, Rotary Club Ropar Central President Ruminder Singh and club members presented their annual report before the District Governor.
They highlighted that during the Rotary year 2025-26, President Ruminder Singh successfully led and completed 167 projects. These projects focused on environmental protection, children's education, women and child health, blood donation camps, road safety awareness, and several other community service initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, District Governor Ravi Prakash stated that Rotary District 3080 has a vast geographical jurisdiction covering five states—Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh—and Chandigarh, encompassing approximately 17 revenue districts. He explained that the primary objective of the Official Visit is to review and evaluate the social welfare and community service projects undertaken by Rotary clubs.
He appreciated President Ruminder Singh and all members of Rotary Club Ropar Central for their dedication and enthusiasm, noting that the club had accomplished remarkable projects within a short period of time. He also encouraged more individuals to join Rotary and motivated newly inducted Rotarians to actively participate in service activities.
During the event, District Governor Ravi Prakash warmly welcomed Mr. Devinder Singh Jattana, who was inducted as an Honorary Member of Rotary Club Ropar Central in recognition of his valuable contribution to the “Har Ghar Moringa” campaign. The club also honored several distinguished personalities with special mementos and recognition awards for their contributions to society.
The stage proceedings were conducted in a unique and engaging manner by President-Elect Rotarian Dr. Shailesh Sharma. At the conclusion of the program, Club Secretary Rotarian Gurjinder Singh expressed gratitude to District Governor Ravi Prakash, First Lady Rotarian Shalini, and all distinguished guests for their presence and support.
