District Sports Officers directed to Submit Ground Reports on Sports Nurseries Within 15 Days; Strict Action to Follow if Irregularities are Found

Haryana Sports Minister Sh. Gaurav Gautam said that the primary objective of the state government is to provide maximum and world-class sports facilities to players at the grassroots level. The government is working with full commitment and speed in this direction, under which 21 new sports stadiums will be constructed across the state.
The Sports Minister was chairing a review meeting with senior officials of the Sports Department on Tuesday at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex, Panchkula.
Strict Stand Against Fake Sports Nurseries; 15-Day Ultimatum to District Sports Officers
During the meeting, the Sports Minister adopted a tough stance against fake sports nurseries. He directed officers that within the next 15 days, all District Sports Officers (DSOs) must prepare and submit ground reports of the sports nurseries operating in their respective districts to the Sports Headquarters.
He warned that if any fake sports nursery is found operating anywhere in the state after the submission of these reports, strict disciplinary action will be taken against the concerned District Sports Officer.
No Disruption in Players’ Practice
Sh. Gaurav Gautam instructed officers to ensure that players do not face any inconvenience in their training. He directed that until the official budget is released by the Sports Directorate, District Sports Officers should immediately procure sports equipment and other essential items through the District Sports Councils so that practice sessions are not affected in any manner. He said negligence at any level in this matter would not be tolerated.
Projects to be Completed Within Fixed Timelines; Synthetic Track in Every District
Reviewing the ongoing development works, the Sports Minister said that the Chief Minister’s announcements and budget announcements are being implemented on the ground with complete seriousness. He directed officers to establish better coordination with the Public Works Department (PWD) and ensure that the construction of sports stadiums and other pending sports projects are completed within the stipulated time frame.
He further stated that to provide international-level facilities to athletes, synthetic athletics tracks will be developed in every district of the state.
Technology and Security Together — ‘Khelo Haryana App’ and ‘Medical Insurance Scheme’
To promote digitalisation, the Sports Minister instructed officials to develop the ‘Khelo Haryana App’ at the earliest. This mobile application will contain complete data of all players and sports stadiums in the state, enabling athletes to easily access information about nearby stadiums and practice facilities.
In addition, to provide players with a stress-free environment for training, he directed officials to prepare the draft of the ‘Medical Insurance Scheme’ at the earliest so that players can directly benefit from it.
Sports Mahakumbh and Dangal Events to be Organised on Time; Trials to Begin One Month in Advance
The Sports Minister also directed officers to ensure timely organisation of all sports events as per this year’s sports calendar. Major sporting events such as the CM Cup, Sports Mahakumbh, Yoga competitions, and Dangals will be organised on a grand scale. To ensure transparency and fairness, selection committees will conduct players’ trials exactly one month before these events.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Sports Department Sh. Vijay Singh Dahiya, Director, Sh. Parth Gupta, Additional Director, Sh. Ashwani Malik, and other officers were also present.
