Old Police Line School Students Shine Bright in Punjab State Merit List

Students of Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, Old Police Line (OPL), Patiala, brought laurels to the institution by delivering an outstanding performance in the Class 12 examinations conducted by the Punjab School Education Board. The school recorded a remarkable 100 percent result, with four students securing positions in the Punjab merit list.
In the Commerce Group, Ridhima, daughter of Mr. Ketan Jain, secured 97.2 percent marks and achieved 15th position in the Punjab merit list, while Ishmeet Kaur, daughter of Mr. Manohar Singh, scored 96.8 percent marks and secured 17th rank across the state. Similarly, in the Vocational Group (Taxation Practices), Khushpreet Kaur, daughter of Mr. Balwinder Singh, scored an impressive 97.4 percent marks and secured 14th position in the Punjab merit list.
Jashanjit Kaur, daughter of Mr. Jagpal Singh, also excelled by securing 97.2 percent marks and achieving 15th position in the state merit list. The students of the Science and Arts streams also delivered commendable results, adding further pride to the school’s academic achievements.
School Principal Mrs. Mandeep Kaur Antal credited the excellent performance to the continuous guidance of the Education Department and District Education Officer Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, along with the dedication of teachers and the hard work and discipline of the students. She informed that out of a total of 231 students, as many as 56 students scored above 90 percent marks, reflecting the school’s strong academic environment and commitment to excellence.
To celebrate the achievement, the Principal honoured the merit-holding students with a cash prize of Rs. 5100 each. She also congratulated the students, their parents, and the entire school staff for the remarkable success.
The Principal specially appreciated the efforts of the Commerce and Vocational lecturers, as well as teachers of all subjects, for their sincere contribution towards the school’s outstanding results.
