PEC Bids a Memorable Farewell to Batch of 2026 at “Interaction and Farewell Dinner 2026”

Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh organized “Interaction and Farewell Dinner 2026” on the night of 11th May 2026 to bid a warm and memorable farewell to the graduating B.Tech and M.Tech students of the institute.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, making the evening a perfect blend of emotions, nostalgia, celebration, and togetherness.
The occasion was graced by Director Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Registrar Prof. Shobhna Dhiman, Dean Student Affairs (DSA) Dr. D.R. Prajapati, Associate Dean Student Affairs (ADSA) Dr. Puneet Chawla, ADSA Dr. Mohit Tyagi, ADSA Dr. M.P. Garg, along with Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff members of the institute. This entire event was organized under the aegis of the Office of Dean Student Affairs (DSA).
During the programme, student representatives shared their memorable experiences and reflected upon their journey at PEC, recalling moments from their first day on campus to their final year. Their speeches captured the strong emotional bond and unforgettable experiences associated with their time at the institute.
Addressing the gathering, Director Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia extended his heartfelt wishes to the outgoing students and encouraged them to emerge as skilled, responsible, and compassionate engineers in the future. He urged the students to continue carrying forward the rich legacy and values of PEC and wished them success in their upcoming examinations and future endeavours.
Dean Student Affairs, Dr. D.R. Prajapati, appreciated the graduating students for their commendable achievements in academics, sports, cultural activities, technical events, and various co-curricular domains. He acknowledged their significant contributions towards enhancing the vibrant campus culture of the institute.
A major highlight of the evening was the presentation of Institute Colours to 57 students in recognition of their outstanding performances and contributions in various clubs, cells, societies, sports, and academic branches of the institute. The evening also featured a nostalgic trip down memory lane with Avi Sinha, Chief Club Secretary, and Varun Choudhary, Chief Secretary of Technical Societies, who reflected upon the strong bonds formed with peers, professors, and the institute during their journey at PEC.
Adding further significance to the occasion, the prestigious Institute Colours were also conferred upon students for excellence in All-Rounder achievements and Organizational Activities, recognizing the remarkable talent, leadership, and dedication showcased by the graduating batch.
The event concluded with a farewell dinner hosted for the students along with the Director and faculty members, followed by a lively DJ session where students celebrated their cherished memories and friendships with great enthusiasm and joy.
