Cycling Association of Punjab takes initiatives to resolve coaches’ issues

Special meeting with coaches– a big step towards strengthening sports infrastructure

A significant meeting was held at the office of the Cycling Association of Punjab under the leadership of President  Charanjit Singh Dhaliwal, with cycling coaches from across the state. The main objective of the meeting was to directly engage with coaches, understand ground-level challenges, and take appropriate measures to address them.

During the meeting, General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon shared that detailed feedback was collected from coaches regarding various issues they face. Coaches raised concerns related to training facilities, lack of equipment, diet for players, and maintenance of tracks. He informed that many issues were resolved on the spot, while a structured action plan has been prepared for the remaining concerns.

On this occasion, Kahlon emphasized that coaches are the backbone of cycling, stating that they are the pillars who take players from the state level to national and international platforms. He assured that the association will provide all possible support to coaches and will continue efforts to raise the standard of cycling in the state.

It was also decided in the meeting that such interactive sessions with coaches will be held regularly to ensure the timely resolution of ground-level issues and continuous improvement in athletes’ performance. In conclusion, all the coaches appreciated this initiative of the association and expressed their commitment to work with full dedication to take the sport of cycling to new heights.
