DC reviews functioning of District Hospital Ramban

Inspects addiction treatment facility

Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today visited District Hospital and reviewed the functioning of the institution, with a special focus on patient care, healthcare facilities and the operational status of the Addiction Treatment Facility.

The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak; Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kamal Jee Zadoo and Medical Superintendent Dr. Sudarshan Katoch. The Deputy Commissioner inspected different wards and diagnostic facilities, besides reviewing the medical services being provided to patients.

He interacted with patients and their attendants to obtain first-hand feedback regarding the quality of treatment, availability of medicines and overall healthcare services at the hospital. The Medical Superintendent was asked to ensure round-the-clock availability of doctors and paramedical staff, besides maintaining proper sanitation.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Addiction Treatment Facility. He reviewed the status of OPD services being provided at the centre and also assessed the preparedness for operationalising the IPD facility under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
