Reiterating his appeal, chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani said that the devastation and destruction by recent floods is so magnmous that volunteers are working hard day and night, but still there are some people who are desperate and in need of basic necessities to sustain their life. Giving details for press, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat has said that a delegation headed by  Altaf Ahmad Shah is on a day long visit to Islamabad to take stalk of relief work and assess the damage done by recent floods. Teams from Central Relief Committee headed by Dr. Naseem Geelani visited many areas including Madina Colony, Alloochi Bagh and Bagander Nowgam wherethey distributed the relief mostly water, cooking oil, Biscuits, Rice, Milk etc. 

A medical team headed by Dr. G. M. Ganie also visited the flood hit township of Pampora and besides providing medical relief to the victims, also educated them of preventive measures to avoid the spread of diseases especially water born. Large number of public delegations visited Central Relief Committee headquarters at Hyderpora. A group from Ladakh (Kargil) headed by Mohammad Essa was first to meet the Chairman today. While discussing the recent floods Syed Ali Geelani told them that in this pain of agony of Kashmiries, Government of India and its media takes pleasure from our sufferings.Delegation assured Geelani every support and cooperation in the relief work taken up by them. Another delegation from Gurduwara Praband Committee Amritsar visited Hyderpora and had detailed interaction with Hurriyat Chairman. They thanked him for his visit to their relief camp at Baghat Gurduwara and also assured him to extend every possible support for which chairman thanked them. 

Meanwhile Hurriyat Chairman has appealed to public, that we are in need of more than 2 lakh beddings and every family is requested to donate two clean beddings (quilt, mattresses and pillows), so that the coming winter does not prove fatal to these homeless families. He further appealed that although most of live stock (cows, goats, sheep) have been flooded away but those who survived this natural calamity may die for want of food.  So to rescue these animals we are need of food for them as well (Grass, Feed and Chokhar etc). Geelani Sahab once again reiterated that by the grace of Allah we will come out of this grief and agony very soon. (KNS)
