Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the primary objective of the state government is to bring the quality of education in government schools at par with international standards. He directed officials to ensure that students at the last mile receive quality education and a better academic environment, stating that this remains the government’s highest priority. He urged them to make every possible effort in this direction.
The Minister was presiding over a review meeting of senior officials of the Education Department, District Education Officers (DEOs), and District Elementary Education Officers (DEEOs) at the Civil Secretariat here today.During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Kaithal, Ms. Aparajita, gave a presentation on the ‘Stumble Lab’ initiative introduced in several government schools of the district.
Teams of Skilled Teachers to Play a Key Role in Education Reforms
While directing officials on a new action plan, the Education Minister said that 15 to 20 talented, skilled, and experienced teachers should be identified from each district. A special team of such teachers will be formed to work towards improving the quality of education in schools through their innovations and experience. He added that this model will first be tested at the district level and, upon success, will be implemented across all government schools in the state.
Promotion of Education in Line with National Education Policy
The Minister stated that Haryana is the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy-2020. He directed officials to ensure that the curriculum and teaching methodologies are aligned with the core objectives of this policy. He added that the department aims to develop talented students who can bring laurels not only to the state but also to the nation at the international level.
Timely Resolution of Parents’ Issues
The Education Minister also expressed concern over the issues faced by parents in both private and government schools. He directed officials to ensure timely resolution of complaints and problems raised by parents. Director General of Secondary Education Sh. Jitender Dahiya, State Project Director, Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad, Smt. Varsha Khangwal and other officials were present in the meeting.
