Reinforcing the Punjab Government’s focus on inclusive development and housing security, OSD Sukhveer Singh today handed over sanction letters to 33 needy families in Dhuri for financial assistance amounting to ₹82.50 lakh for the construction of pucca houses. The approved amount will be disbursed directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts in four installments, ensuring transparency and timely execution.

Addressing the beneficiaries, OSD Sukhveer Singh emphasized that the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible household without discrimination. He noted that a permanent house is a fundamental need and a key element of dignity and security, and the government is working systematically to ensure that no family is left without proper shelter.

He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the sanctioned funds responsibly and complete construction within the stipulated timelines. He also encouraged them to stay connected with local authorities to avail themselves of other ongoing welfare initiatives.

Highlighting governance reforms, he added that a streamlined, transparent, and time-bound delivery mechanism has been put in place to eliminate delays and reduce procedural hurdles, thereby strengthening public trust and improving service delivery.
