A review meeting to finalise arrangements for the smooth conduct of the NEET-2026 examination was held today, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Athar Aamir Khan, at the Conference Hall Budgam. The NEET-2026 examination is scheduled to be conducted by the National Testing Agency across six designated examination centres in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam, Mehraj ud din Shah, DSP Headquarters Budgam, representatives of NTA, all Centre Magistrates, Centre Superintendents, and other concerned officers. During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the preparedness and arrangements being put in place for the examination.
Threadbare discussions were held on key aspects including traffic regulation, transportation facilities, and availability of basic amenities at examination centres. The DC emphasized the need for close coordination among all departments to ensure a secure, transparent, and hassle-free examination environment for candidates.
He stressed strict adherence to guidelines issued by the NTA and called for zero tolerance towards any malpractice. He further directed officers to ensure timely deployment of manpower, proper monitoring at all centres, and seamless logistical support on the day of examination.
Special focus was laid on facilitating candidates and ensuring that no inconvenience is caused. The DC instructed the concerned to maintain close coordination and ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in advance for smooth conduct of the examination across all Six centres in Budgam district.
