The Delhi High Court, told by an NGO that the 32 de-addiction centres purportedly opened by the government are rarely functioning, Thursday said that Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will look into the issue and will file a report.A pision bench of Chief Justice G. R ohini and Justice R.S. Endlaw said that it will ask DLSA to see that "all the de-addiction centres are made functional" as it sought a report on the issue. The Shahari Adhikar Manch (SAM:BKS), an umbrella group of NGOs working for the homeless in the capital, told the court that out of about 32 de-addiction centres that Delhi government claimed to have opened on court's directions, "only three are actually functional, of which one is not even in Delhi but in Ghaziabad" in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh.
