Department of Electrical Engineering Organizes Hands-on Workshop on Household Appliances and Energy Efficiency

The Department of Electrical Engineering successfully organized a workshop on “Fundamentals of Household Appliances: Concept, Working, and Hands-on” on 18th April, 2026. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 30 school students, making it both interactive and engaging.

The workshop commenced with an inaugural session graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Rintu Khanna. The session was organized by Dr. Sandeep Kaur and Dr. Sulata Bhandari, who warmly welcomed the participants and guided them about the objectives and structure of the event. 

Dr. Rintu Khanna delivered an insightful address, encouraging students to develop curiosity about electrical systems and the importance of energy conservation. The organizers guided the students about the objectives of the event and delivered an informative and motivating address.

Students were introduced to the basic concepts and working of common household appliances, along with the importance of star ratings and energy conservation. They then visited the lab to explore appliance operations and engaged in hands-on experiments with simple circuitry, enhancing their practical understanding.

The workshop successfully achieved its objective of creating awareness about household appliances and promoting energy-efficient practices among students.
