Aman Arora inaugurates chowk built in memory of Mata Mohinder Kaur in Sunam

New junction to streamline traffic and enhance urban infrastructure; welfare-driven policies accelerating development across Punjab

Punjab Cabinet Minister and State President of the Aam Aadmi Party, Aman Arora, today inaugurated a newly constructed chowk near the School of Eminence (Boys), Sunam, developed in memory of Mata Mohinder Kaur, mother of former Municipal Council President Nishan Singh Tony. Addressing the gathering, the Cabinet Minister said that the newly developed junction will significantly improve traffic regulation while also adding to the city’s aesthetic appeal. 

He noted that the chowk, strategically located on the road connecting Jakhepal, Bakshiwala and Sunam, will ease congestion and provide smoother connectivity for commuters. Highlighting the Punjab Government’s performance over the past four years, he said that the state has witnessed transformative progress in infrastructure, education and healthcare sectors. 

Initiatives such as Schools of Eminence are ensuring access to quality education and shaping a better future for students. Referring to the 'Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna’, he emphasized that the government is committed to women’s welfare and empowerment through a range of targeted initiatives, ensuring inclusive growth and social upliftment.Reiterating the government’s vision, he said that Punjab continues to move forward on the path of development through people-centric policies, and such projects will further strengthen civic infrastructure in the coming years.

Prominent among those present on the occasion were former Municipal Council Sunam President Nishan Singh Tony, Harpal Singh, Rimpy Thind, Manpreet Bansal, Harmesh Singh Pappi, Ghanaiya Lal, Joginder Singh, Manpreet Singh Mani, Ravi Kanwal, Kala, along with several other dignitaries and local residents.
