Aman Arora inaugurates and lays foundation stones for development projects worth approximately Rs 04.57 crore at Cheema

Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development projects worth approximately Rs 04.57 crore in Cheema town of Sunam Assembly constituency, keeping in view public convenience and overall development of the area. On this occasion, the Cabinet Minister laid the foundation stone for a pond renovation project worth Rs 01.81 crore near Samadh Baba Bhola Gir Ji. 

He said that this project will not only enhance the beauty of the area but also strengthen water conservation and environmental sustainability. Additionally, taking another step towards social welfare, the Cabinet Minister distributed sanction letters worth Rs 80 lakh to 32 beneficiary families for the construction of pucca houses, at Rs 02.50 lakh per family. 

He said that the Punjab Government is committed to providing housing to every needy family and continuous efforts are being made in this direction. Moreover, a foundation stone was laid for a modern parking project worth Rs 58 lakh at Cheema Mandi for the convenience of traders and the general public, which will significantly ease parking issues in the area.

To promote sports and encourage youth towards a healthy lifestyle, the Cabinet Minister dedicated a modern sports stadium built at a cost of Rs 01.38 crore on Tolawal Road to the public. The stadium is equipped with facilities for volleyball, tennis, hockey, basketball, and athletics, along with a spectator gallery, washrooms, and other essential rooms.

Aman Arora stated that the Punjab Government is prioritizing the development of basic infrastructure in both rural and urban areas, promotion of sports, and implementation of public welfare schemes to ensure better facilities for all sections of society. On this occasion, residents of Cheema and nearby villages expressed their gratitude to the Cabinet Minister, stating that these projects will prove to be milestones in the development of the area and help fulfill long-pending demands of the people.

Officials from various departments, dignitaries, and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
