A camp was organized by the Punjab State Trade Commission in the Central Assembly Constituency—specifically at Patel Chowk, Guru Bazaar—under the chairmanship of MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta. During the camp, MLA Dr. Gupta listened to the problems and grievances of the traders and made immediate efforts to resolve them by issuing on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officials.

Raising a slogan, MLA Dr. Gupta stated, "Strong Traders – Prosperous Punjab," emphasizing that "The advancement of trade is the progress of Punjab." He informed all the traders that issues regarding sewerage, water supply, street lighting, and road construction have been resolved to a significant extent.

He added that if any difficulties persist in any specific area, they too will be rectified in the coming days. MLA Dr. Gupta further stated that the number of Police PCR units in Katra Jaimal Singh, Guru Bazaar, Shastri Market, the Telephone Exchange area, and other commercial zones would be increased in the near future.

He highlighted that he has already succeeded in abolishing the mandatory requirement for traders in the Walled City to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Municipal Corporation's MTP Department in order to install new electricity meters or increase their meter load capacity—a measure from which traders are deriving significant benefit.

He also mentioned that directives have already been issued to officials of the Power Department to address and manage the issue of dangling electricity wires in the markets. On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta provided a detailed account of the various amenities and facilities that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has been providing to the public over the past four years.

Present on this occasion were SDM Alka, ACP Jaspal Singh, Powercom XEN Simarpal Singh, Kotwali Police Station In-charge Harmanjit Singh Ball, D-Division Police Station In-charge Saminder Ghumman, all Block Presidents of the Trade Commission, Constituency Central Coordinator Sanjeev Kumar Lali, Punjab State Trade Commission member Sheetal Juneja, office bearers of trade organizations, Municipal Corporation officials, and Aam Aadmi Party volunteers.
