Haryana Govt Suspends Julana MC Chairman in Corruption Case; FIR Registered

Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel said that the present State Government has taken firm action in a corruption case involving the Chairman of the Julana Municipal Committee. Speaking during the ongoing Budget Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, he informed the House that the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Karnal, had registered an FIR against Sanjay Kumar on August 16, 2025. 

Acting promptly on the matter, the government placed him under suspension with immediate effect on the same day. The Minister clarified that since the Chairman has already been suspended, dissolving the entire municipal body at this stage would not be appropriate.

He further stated that the government is committed to taking swift and effective action in corruption-related cases and assured that further action will be carried out strictly in accordance with the law.
