Expressing concern over the alleged shortage of LPG gas in various parts of the country, senior Congress leader from Amritsar and former Chairman of the Improvement Trust Dinesh Bassi has raised the issue. He said that reports of disrupted gas cylinder supply are emerging from several places, causing serious difficulties not only for common people but also for small traders, dhaba owners, and restaurant operators.

Bassi stated that cooking gas is a basic necessity for every household, and its shortage directly affects the daily lives of millions of families. He urged the Central Government to treat this serious issue as a priority and take immediate concrete steps so that the supply of LPG across the country can continue smoothly.

He said that if the issue is not resolved in time, the situation could become even more challenging in the coming days. According to Bassi, in recent days reports have surfaced from several states about disruptions in the supply of commercial cylinders, which is also affecting hotels, restaurants, and other small businesses.

The senior Congress leader also demanded that the Central Government ensure adequate availability of LPG and take strict action against those involved in hoarding or black marketing of gas, so that ordinary consumers do not have to face any inconvenience.

He said that providing relief to the common public is the responsibility of the government and effective steps should be taken at the earliest in this direction.
