Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said that the State will play a leading role in realising the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He said that the state is aligning its development priorities with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s roadmap for building a strong and prosperous India.

Addressing a summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for setting the ambitious goal of Viksit Bharat and said Haryana is steadily advancing policies and initiatives that will contribute significantly to this national mission.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has called for development based on four key pillars namely farmers, women empowerment, employment for youth and upliftment of the poor and the Haryana Government is working rapidly across all these areas.

He said farmers in Haryana are excelling not only in traditional agriculture but also in natural farming and horticulture. Keeping women empowerment at the centre of its policies, the state government is implementing various initiatives to strengthen the role of women in society.

Today, women are making significant contributions across sectors such as agriculture, health, education and other fields, said the Chief Minister. Referring to youth development, the Chief Minister said the state government has introduced a Startup Policy to encourage entrepreneurship among young people.

At the same time, strong efforts are being made to uplift economically weaker sections through the effective implementation of schemes such as Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Future Department to focus on Long-Term Planning

The Chief Minister said that keeping future needs in mind, the Haryana Government has established a Future Department. The objective of this department is to ensure long-term planning so that potential challenges can be anticipated and addressed in advance, thereby ensuring balanced and systematic development in every sector.

He said the government is also encouraging research among university students, enabling them to study different sectors, identify emerging challenges and suggest practical solutions. With this vision, the Future Department has been established to focus on policy planning keeping future requirements in mind.

Government Aims to Connect Youth with Emerging Technologies

Sh. Nayab Singh Saini said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, India is increasingly embracing Artificial Intelligence, innovation and research and development. The Prime Minister has consistently emphasised the importance of using emerging technologies for the welfare of the people.

He said that experts and representatives from across the world recently participated in an AI summit, where discussions were held on the future of technology. In line with this vision, the Haryana Government is also moving forward in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The Chief Minister said that in the previous state budget, it was announced that two AI hubs would be established in Panchkula and Gurugram, and work in this direction is progressing rapidly. He added that an AI summit was recently organised in Chandigarh, which witnessed participation from experts and stakeholders associated with the sector.

Several companies have also expressed interest and submitted proposals for establishing AI hubs in the state. The government’s objective is to connect youth with emerging technologies and equip them with the necessary skills so that new employment opportunities can be created through AI in the future, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.

Rapid Work Underway for Establishment of IMTs

The Chief Minister said that Haryana’s biggest strength lies in its strong connectivity network. The state is witnessing rapid expansion of four-lane highways, expressways, greenfield expressways, railway networks and air connectivity. Additionally, being part of the National Capital Region (NCR)* provides Haryana with a strategic advantage.

He said that in the previous state budget the government announced the establishment of 10 Industrial Model Townships (IMTs). Work on around six IMTs has already begun, while work on the remaining four will start soon.

These townships are aimed at creating modern infrastructure for industries so that more companies can invest in Haryana. The Chief Minister said that the government has also strengthened its industrial policies to promote investment.

Work is underway on a new Industrial Policy and a Semiconductor Policy to provide greater opportunities for high-tech industries to establish themselves in the state. On employment, the Chief Minister said the government is continuously working towards generating new job opportunities. As agriculture remains the largest source of employment in Haryana, emphasis is being placed on creating new opportunities within the sector.

He informed that four Centres of Excellence are being established in the state for litchi, guava, kinnow and strawberry. These centres will promote modern agricultural technologies and create additional employment opportunities for farmers and youth.

Special Focus on Industry and Skill Development

The Chief Minister said the government is also giving special attention to women empowerment. Through **Self-Help Groups (SHGs), a large number of women are starting small enterprises and becoming economically self-reliant.

He said that under the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ initiative launched by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, nearly 1.5 lakh women in Haryana have already joined the programme, and the government aims to connect around three lakh women with the initiative in the coming years. He said that the government is also providing special encouragement to women entrepreneurs to help them move forward in the fields of industry and business.

Advancing the Make in India initiative, the Haryana Government is placing strong emphasis on industrial growth and skill development. In this direction, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has been established in Palwal, where youth are being provided modern skill training.

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to generate greater employment opportunities by promoting education, skill development, industry and self-employment, thereby taking Haryana to new heights of development.
