Sukhveer Singh Visits Villages Bugra, Mullowal and Alal; Inaugurates Works Worth ₹1.17 Crore

New Development Projects Worth ₹95 Lakh Launched; Immediate Redressal of Public Grievances Directed

OSD to the Chief Minister, Sukhveer Singh, today undertook an extensive visit to villages Bugra, Mullowal and Alal in the Dhuri constituency. During the visit, he inaugurated completed development works amounting to approximately ₹1.17 crore and formally launched new projects worth nearly ₹95 lakh, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure.

At village Bugra, Sukhveer Singh inaugurated a newly constructed library built at a cost of ₹24.59 lakh. He also initiated the construction of a Dharamshala worth ₹15 lakh and flagged off the commencement of a wastewater drainage project estimated at ₹25 lakh.

In village Alal, he inaugurated street and drainage works completed at a cost of ₹25 lakh and laid the foundation stone for a Langar Hall to be constructed in the Dharamshala at an estimated cost of ₹5 lakh. Similarly, at village Mullowal, he inaugurated street and drainage works executed at a cost of ₹45 lakh, along with development works undertaken on the Primary School building at a cost of ₹23 lakh. 

He also launched multiple new initiatives, including the construction of a commemorative gate at the sacred land blessed by Guru Sahib’s visit, a bus stand, installation of solar lights, development of a modern community ‘Sath’, and creation of a heritage street.

During the tour, Sukhveer Singh interacted directly with villagers and listened attentively to their grievances. He issued clear directions to the concerned departmental officials to ensure prompt and time-bound redressal of the issues raised by residents.

Reiterating the State Government’s resolve, he stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, focused efforts are being made to ensure holistic rural development and to provide robust basic infrastructure in every village. He urged Panchayat representatives to actively coordinate with departments to accelerate ongoing works and ensure that public welfare projects are completed on priority and with quality standards.

On the occasion, ADC Sukhchain Singh Papra, senior officers of the concerned departments, Panchayat members and a large number of villagers were present.
