Inter-State Transit Pass System Yields ₹57 Crore Revenue in Mining Sector

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini stated that mining operations are currently being carried out in 42 mines across 7 districts of the state, generating revenue of ₹953 crore so far in the Financial Year 2025–26. For 2026–27, the government has set a target of generating an additional ₹600 crore by starting 24 new mines in the districts of Panchkula, Mahendragarh, Faridabad, Palwal, Karnal, Yamunanagar, Sonipat, and Ambala.
The Chief Minister was presenting the State Budget 2026–27 in the Haryana Legislative Assembly during the Budget Session in his capacity as Finance Minister today. Sh. Nayab Singh Saini further stated that the implementation of the Inter-State Transit Pass System to curb illegal mining and transportation at state borders has resulted in revenue collection of ₹57 crore so far.
A revenue target of ₹200 crore has been set from this system for the next financial year. In the Budget Estimates, ₹164.16 crore has been allocated to the Mining and Geology Department for the year 2026–27.
