4 DCs and 5 SSPs transferred

On the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), 4 DCs and 5 SSPs have been ordered to be transferred in Punjab. Besides that one IAS and 8 PCS officers have also been transferred in the state.

Stating this here today,  Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab said that Mr. C.S.Talwar has been posted as DC Mansa, B. Purusharth DC Moga, V.Zade DC Barnala and Paramjit Singh DC Kapurthala. She further said that H.K.Bansal has been posted as SSP Muktsar, Dhanpreet Kaur SSP Barnala, Dinesh Partap Singh SSP Patiala, Inderbir Singh SSP Moga and Pradeep Kumar Yadav SSP Mansa. Besides that Gautam Singhal has been posted as SP (H) Patiala. 

 Mr. Parveen Kumar IAS has been posted as ADC Dev. Amritsar with immediate effect. Mr. P.S. Shergill has been posted as Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Amritsar, G.S. Ghuman SDM Abohar, Harjit Singh Khandola DTO Muktsar, Amandeep Kaur Assistant Commissioner (General) Muktsar, Uma Shankar SDM Dasuya, Parminder Pal Singh SDM Sardulgarh, Hargunjeet Kaur SDM Baghapurana and Daljit Kaur SDM Kotkapura. Regarding the Octroi Abolition, She said that the ECI has rejected the decision of Octroi abolition.

Mrs. Usha. R. Sharma, Special Chief Electoral Officer Punjab said that all the distilleries across the state would be on constant surveillance of the state Election department. Micro Observers have also been posted in all the distilleries. CCTV Cameras with 7 day recording would be installed in the distilleries.  Meanwhile the state Static Surveillance Teams have confiscated unaccounted cash amounting to Rs. 59 Lakhs from various places in the state. Adding further she said that 4 Trucks of liquor, 127 bottles of liquor and 6 Bags of Bhukki have been seized from Hoshiarpur and Jallandhar. Meanwhile the Commission has received 52 complaints regarding the violation of Model Code of Conduct. Thousands of hoardings violating the Code of Conduct have been removed at various places in Punjab.
