Dr. Charnjit Singh Atwal Nominated As Member Of Lok Sabha Committee Of Presiding Officer

Speaker Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan has nominated Dr. Charnjit Singh Atwal Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha as Member on Committee of Presiding Officers to look into all aspects of the Office of Presiding officers to look into all aspects of the Office of Presiding Officers. He has been nominated to a separate committee to look into the problem of Disruptions of Question hour.Owing to his vast acknowledgement as a Parliamentarian Par Excellence, Dr. Atwal has also been nominated as Regional Representative from India Region in the Executive Committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, London(U.K), for the period from 2014 to 2016 and he is also as a member of the Executive Committee of the CPA India Region from 15.08.2014 to 14.08.2017.

The committee of presiding officers to look into all aspects of the office of the presiding officer includes Deputy Speaker, Lok Sabha as Chairman with Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Shri Kailash Chandra Meghwal, Speaker, Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha, Shri P. Dhanapal, Speaker, Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, Shri Ramendra Chandra Debnath, Speaker, Tripura Legislative Assembly, Shri Govind Singh Kunjwal, Speaker, Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha and Shri Biman Bandhyopadhyay, Speaker, West Bengal Legislative Assembly as members. Shri P.K. Grover, Secretary-General, Lok Sabha would be Secretary to the committee.Similarly, The committee of Presiding Officers to look into the Problem of Disruptions of Question Hour includes Prof. P.J. Kurien, Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha as Chairman with Dr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker, Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Dr. K.
