District Administration Pays Floral Tributes to Freedom Fighters on Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

The District Administration, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, today paid floral tributes to the great freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s freedom, while observing the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at the District Administrative Complex (DAC), Mohali. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the observance of a two-minute silence in his memory.

Deputy Commissioner Ms. Komal Mittal, while remembering the countless Indians who sacrificed their lives during the freedom struggle, said that the nation must always honour and respect its great freedom fighters who fought selflessly to secure a bright future for generations to come.

ADC (General) Ms. Geetika Singh, AC (General) Dr. Ankita Kansal, Chief Minister’s Field Officer Mr. Gurmeet Singh Sohi, along with officers and staff of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, were also present on the occasion.
