FIT India, SAI, MY Bharat and BSF Organise Historic Cycle Rally at Attari Border to Promote #MyBharatMyVote

In a powerful display of fitness, patriotism and civic responsibility, FIT India, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and MY Bharat, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), organised a historic cycle rally at the Attari Border. The event aimed to promote the spirit of active living and democratic participation under the banner of #MyBharatMyVote.

The rally witnessed the presence of the Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Ms. Raksha Khadse, BSF Inspector General Dr. Atul Fulzele, Olympian boxer Nikhat Zareen, along with several eminent personalities, who joined participants in celebrating unity, fitness and the importance of voting.

More than 500 MY Bharat volunteers, BSF personnel, and students from the Education and Sports Departments enthusiastically took part in the cycle rally, transforming the Attari Border into a vibrant symbol of national pride and collective commitment.

Addressing the gathering, Ms. Raksha Khadse emphasized that Fit India is not merely a campaign but a people’s movement. She underlined that a healthy body and a healthy mind are essential for building a strong and self-reliant nation. 

Encouraging the youth to adopt fitness as a daily habit, she stated that initiatives like cycling rallies effectively connect fitness with patriotism, civic responsibility and democratic participation.The programme also featured energetic Zumba sessions, traditional Bhangra and Yoga, creating an engaging and festive atmosphere while reinforcing the message of holistic wellness.

Under the #MyBharatMyVote campaign, the Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Ms. Raksha N. Khadse, honoured first-time voters, followed by the administration of the voter’s pledge. Celebrating young voters at the nation’s border delivered a powerful message of both democracy and fitness. She also appealed to the youth to register as voters, stating that voting is a fundamental right.

The cycle rally was flagged off by the Minister of State, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation of MY Bharat volunteers, BSF personnel and students, and reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting fitness and voter awareness among citizens.

SAI DDG Mr. Mayank Srivastava, MY Bharat Deputy Director Ms. Jasleen Kaur, DSO Ms. Savita, and other officials were present at the programme. Citizens of all age groups—from seasoned cyclists to first-time riders—came together in a shared expression of unity.

The event stood as a unique confluence of fitness, culture, patriotism and civic awareness, reinforcing the vision of a Fit India and an empowered MY Bharat.
