Dalveer Singh Dhillon and Rajwant Singh Ghulli Leads Anti-Drug Padyatra, Calls for Collective Fight Against Drug Menace

As part of the campaign being run by the Punjab Government to eradicate drugs, an anti-drug padyatra was taken out in Dhuri city, in which a large number of residents participated and conveyed a strong message of unity against drug abuse.

The anti-drug padyatra, which commenced from the Chief Minister’s Facilitation Centre under the leadership of Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalveer Singh Dhillon, and Chairman, Market Committee Dhuri, Rajwant Singh Ghulli, passed through the markets of Dhuri city. While moving ahead, the march called upon residents to join the campaign and unite to eliminate the drug menace from its roots.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalveer Singh Dhillon, said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, the war launched by the Punjab Government against drugs is no longer confined to being a government campaign but has transformed into a mass movement. 

He added that drugs have caused severe damage to society and that the collective participation of the public, along with the government, is essential to eradicate this evil from its roots.Chairman, Market Committee Dhuri, Rajwant Singh Ghulli, said that the anti-drug padyatra being carried out would reach every household in the Dhuri constituency and would raise awareness among people about the harmful effects of drugs. He said that guiding the youth in the right direction and keeping them away from drugs is the primary objective of this campaign.

On the occasion Rachhpal Singh, Harpreet Singh Gill, Anil Mittal, Naresh Kumar and Parmjit Singh, Block President Sukhpal Singh Pala, Ravi Dhuri, Jaspal Singh Bhullar, Satinder Singh Chatha, Sham Singla, Baljit Kaur, Amrik Singh, Harjinder Singh Kanjhla, Amardeep Singh Dhandra, Labh Singh, Parminder Singh Punu, Gurinder Kaur, Baldev Singh, Ajaib Singh, Milakh Raj, Veer Bhan, Naresh Singla, along with a large number of city residents, were present.
