Three National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran have been selected for the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi. The selection places the cadets among a limited number chosen from across the country through a multi-stage evaluation process conducted by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) which is a matter of immense pride for the institution.

Among the selected cadets, Anubhav, a CSE student, has been chosen to participate in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, while Naveen Kumar, an IT student and Vishal, a CSE student, will take part in the Prime Minister’s Rally. The cadets have previously attended more than 12 NCC camps each, securing selection at every stage and have undergone training under the supervision of the NCC Department, CGC Landran and 3 Punjab Battalion NCC, Mohali.

The selection of these cadets adds to CGC Landran’s established record of participation and performance in NCC activities at inter-group and national levels. Notable achievers among these include Cadet Saloni Nayak who won a Gold Medal in the Inter-Group Sports Shooting Competition, Cadet Preneet Kaur who secured top positions at the Basic Leadership Camp and was recognized for excellence in debate.

Similarly, Senior Under Officer Mahima received the CWS Award for Best Cadet for her performance across training camps and community engagement initiatives. Earlier, Cadet Vidushi Chauhan represented CGC Landran in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in 2025, while in 2019, Medhavi Tomar who had won NCC’s 'All India Best Cadet Award-2019' was felicitated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi during PM’s NCC Rally in New Delhi; These achievements continue to serve as an inspiration for all NCC cadets of the institution.

Satnam Singh Sandhu, Chairman, CGC Landran, and Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC Landran, congratulated the cadets on their selection and conveyed their best wishes. Commenting on the development, Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, said, “The selection of our cadets for the Republic Day Camp and their participation in events such as the Republic Day Parade and Prime Minister’s Rally reflects consistent efforts by the cadets and structured training provided through the NCC at CGC Landran.
