Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond pays obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib

Punjab Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, along with a jatha, undertook a foot pilgrimage from Gurdwara Sri Sukh Sagar Sahib, Khanna, and arrived Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib via Ratanheri, Bhadla, Dadheri and Dera Meer Meera to pay homage during the Shaheedi Sabha held in memory of the unparalleled martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas—Baba Zorawar Singh, Baba Fateh Singh—and Mata Gujri Ji.

Interacting with the media, the Cabinet Minister said that if we enjoy religious freedom today, it is solely because of the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib Ji and the supreme sacrifice by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji. Such great sacrifices are unmatched anywhere in the world. 

He said that he would pray before the Guru Sahib that Punjab becomes completely drug-free and once again attains the top position in the country, just as it remained in earlier times. The Cabinet Minister added that may the Akal Purakh keep His benevolent hand over Punjab and may the state government continue working tirelessly so that the state progresses rapidly. 

He said that the jatha set out from Gurdwara Sri Sukh Sagar Sahib, Khanna, after offering prayers and has now reached the sacred land of Sri Fatehgarh Sahib in high spirits. The Cabinet Minister appealed to the sangat to always keep the sacrifices of the younger Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji alive in their hearts and to continue participating in acts of social service.

A large number of devotees, along with various officials, were present on this occasion.
