Union Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation Sh. Amit Shah praised Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for providing jobs to the family members of victims of the 1984 Sikh riots. Sh. Amit Shah said that ensuring justice, compensation, and dignified employment to the affected families reflects the sensitivity and strong political will of the state government.
The Union Home Minister was addressing the gathering after attending a programme organized in Panchkula on Wednesday on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas as the chief guest. Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini was also present on the occasion.On this occasion, Sh. Amit Shah released a coffee table book based on the saga of sacrifice of the Sahibzadas and the Vision Document 2047 prepared by the Haryana Government.
In addition, the Union Home Minister also handed over appointment letters to the family members of those who lost their lives in the 1984 Sikh riots.Sh. Amit Shah said that by providing respectful employment to Sikh victim families who remained neglected for decades, the Haryana Government has helped heal their long-standing wounds.
