Dr. Ajay Gupta restarts colorful fountains in Katra Moti Ram area

MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, representing the Central Assembly constituency, inaugurated the colorful fountains in Katra Moti Ram area of walled city. MLA Dr. Gupta said that the Walled City is being beautified. He said that fountains were installed at some places in the city earlier, but they were closed for a long time. He said that all the closed fountains are being restarted. 

He further said that now modern technology is being used in these fountains, which will enhance their beauty. MLA Dr. Gupta said that estimates are being prepared for the repair of closed fountains and installation of new ones. He said that in the coming days, about 54 parks will be beautified in the Central Assembly constituency.  

He further said that fountains will also be installed in big parks, which will be a centre of attraction for the people. He further said that more than one lakh devotees from India and abroad visit Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib every day to pay obeisance. 

He appealed to all devotees to take a positive message home from Guru Nagari Amritsar, which is being particularly influenced by the city’s Walled City. MLA Dr. Gupta said that work on four radial roads leading to Sri Darbar Sahib is about to start. He said that these four roads will be given a heritage look and will be improved. 

He further said that the tendering process is going on for development works worth about Rs 417.82 crore to expand the Walled City. It will yield fruitful results in the coming days. 

On this occasion, Trustee of Improvement Trust Amritsar Mandeep Singh Monga, Block Incharge Rishi Kapoor, Sajan Kumar, Harman Monga, Sudesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Vicky, Ajay Neol and local residents were present.
