Dhakoli to Have Upgraded 50-Bedded Health Facility Soon

MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa today chaired a meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Dhakoli, to review healthcare services and discuss measures for further strengthening the infrastructure. The meeting was attended by SDM Dera Bassi Amit Gupta, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Gagandeep Singh Shergill and other concerned officials.

During the meeting, the MLA deliberated on various requirements necessary to enhance the healthcare infrastructure at the CHC for better service delivery to the residents. He informed that the proposal to upgrade the existing bed capacity of the CHC from 30 to 50 beds is already under active consideration with the Punjab Government. 

He said that the upgradation would facilitate the deployment of additional specialist doctors and other healthcare staff, thereby significantly improving medical services for the public. MLA Randhawa assured the SMO that all issues related to local body support, including sewerage blockage, parking space, cleanliness and renovation of the health facility, would be addressed on priority to ensure a better patient-friendly environment.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab Government, the MLA said that the state government is determined to provide quality and affordable healthcare facilities at government hospitals and health centres at par with private institutions. He emphasized that strengthening public health infrastructure remains a key priority of the government.

The MLA further stated that coordinated efforts among all concerned departments and regular monitoring are essential to deliver efficient and improved healthcare services to the people.
