Block formation requires a minimum population of one lakh – Krishan Kumar Bedi

Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment ,SCs & BCs Welfare and Antyodaya (SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that a minimum population of one lakh is mandatory for the formation of a block in any area or constituency. The Minister was replying to a question asked during the ongoing Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

He said that the Kosli constituency already has three blocks Nahan, Jatusana, and Dahina with a combined population of 3,08,729. Therefore, Kosli cannot be granted the status of a fourth block in the constituency.
