Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Public Relations Minister, Punjab today reiterated the resolve of SAD-BJP Government to continue all pro-poor schemes and fulfill all promises made in the election manifesto. Speaking to media persons after the felicitation of  Des Raj Dhugga, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, here today Mr. Majithia said that the Congress Party was indulging in the false propaganda regarding poor financial health of state finances as Punjab Government has already given the final touches to blue print to continue with all pro-poor schemes. He said that Captain Amarinder Singh during last five years continued harping on this propaganda but people of Punjab gave a resounding victory to SAD-BJP Government dumping Congress in the annals of history. He said that Congress Party cannot think about welfare of poor as its leaders were busy in multi lakh crore corruption scams. Mr. Majithia said that SAD-BJP Government came to power on development card and would continue to accelerate development without indulging in negative propaganda. Resolving to bring transparency in the working of Revenue Department, Mr. Majithia said that SAD-BJP Government would achieve a historic milestone by computerizing all land records within six months. He said that after six months anybody sitting at home can get copy of land record by a click of a house. He sought cooperation of Revenue Officers to achieve this momentous task. Promising to give a push to environment friendly solar energy in the state, Mr. Majithia said that instructions have been issued to provide ‘solar energy backup’ to all government buildings, educational institutions, hospitals in the state and by the year 2020, 10% of total generated power would come from non-conventional sectors. He said that within two years 30 more biomass plants would produce 220MW power for the state. He said that Punjab Government was already contemplating a new policy to encourage investment in mini-hydels to promote clean power Congratulating  Des Raj Dhugga, on his reelection and on being appointed as Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Majithia said that people of this area have reposed faith in his development oriented vision.
