Qubitech & WISER, in Collaboration with Government of Andhra Pradesh, Host “Curious about Quantum?” Lecture at VIT-AP University

Qubitech, Hyderabad, and WISER, in partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, successfully organized a thought-provoking guest lecture titled “Curious about Quantum?” at VIT-AP University, Amaravati, on 25th November 2025. The event aimed to introduce students and faculty to the emerging world of quantum technologies and their transformative impact on the future.

The event featured a special address by Shri Ganesh Kumar, IAS, Director, Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. He briefed the audience on the Amaravati Quantum Valley, outlining its operational roadmap and the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s mission to position the state as a leading hub for quantum research, innovation, and talent development.

Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman, Vice-Chancellor, VIT-AP University, delivered the presidential address, emphasizing the growing relevance of quantum technologies in the current technological landscape. He underscored how advancements in this domain are poised to revolutionize computing, cybersecurity, and scientific research.

The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. S. Sudhakar Ilango, Dean, School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT-AP University, who highlighted the importance of fostering industry-academia collaborations to expose students to cutting-edge domains. The keynote lecture was delivered by Mr. Vardaan Sahgal from WISER, who introduced participants to the fundamentals of quantum technology, its real-world applications, and the future opportunities available through specialized training programs and quantum learning pathways.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment led by Mr. Prudhvi, Founder of Qubitech, Hyderabad. He addressed participant queries, discussed emerging possibilities in the quantum sector, and encouraged students to explore career and research prospects in this rapidly evolving field.

The event marked a significant step in strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s vision for quantum innovation and provided valuable exposure to VIT-AP students eager to explore next-generation technologies.
