Dinesh Bassi Leads Plantation Drive in East Constituency

On the auspicious occasion of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a special plantation drive was organized today in the East constituency at the initiative of former Amritsar Improvement Trust Chairman, Dinesh Bassi. 

Local residents, social organizations, and youth volunteers participated enthusiastically, spreading the message of environmental conservation. During the ceremony, Dinesh Bassi said that the life of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was entirely devoted to sacrifice, truth, humanity, and the protection of righteousness. 

The supreme sacrifice he made against oppression and for the safety of the innocent remains unmatched in world history. Bassi added that the teachings of Guru Sahib inspire us to walk on the path of truth, uphold humanity, and work for the welfare of society.

Linking the plantation drive with the teachings of Guru Sahib, Bassi said that protecting nature and maintaining environmental balance is a major responsibility in today’s times. Planting trees is not only an effort to improve the environment but also a commitment to follow the path shown by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji service, sensitivity, and compassion for all living beings.\

Local residents planted a large number of saplings, making the campaign successful, and pledged to take regular care of the plants. Dinesh Bassi expressed gratitude to the youth present, especially Rajesh Kumar Babbu, for his significant contribution to the initiative. 

Rajesh Kumar said that this effort will not only increase greenery in the East constituency but also provide positive direction to society. Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu also joined the event and extended her support to the initiative. 

In addition, Councillor Monika Sharma, Girish Sharma, Shinder Pradhan (DYC Vice President), Ravi Prakash Bablu, Rajesh Kumar Babbu, Harish Kumar Sharma, Surinder Devgan, Pawan Mahajan, Vipan Mahajan, Jagdish Arora, Sagar Apple, Ginny Ji, Vinod Kumar Don Ji, Chetan Sharma Ji, Bagga Pehalwan, Vishu, Sabi, Amit Puri, Meethu, Raghu, and several other local residents were present.
