District Administration Organises Kirtan Darbar in Mote Majra dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th Martyrdom Year
MLA Kulwant Singh Pays Obeisance; Urges Devotees to Visit Sri Anandpur Sahib During the Commemorative Events

As part of the series of events dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the District Administration, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, with the support of the local sangat, organized a Kirtan Darbar today at Gurdwara Sahib in Mote Majra village. During the programme, Bhai Gurvinder Singh Mohali and his ragi jatha presented soulful shabad kirtan, while Bhai Sandeep Singh, kathavachak from Gurdwara Singh Shaheedan Suhana, narrated Gurbani and inspiring episodes from the life of the Ninth Guru, spiritually uplifting the congregation.
MLA Kulwant Singh paid obeisance at the gurdwara and honoured the kirtani jatha with siropao. He stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is organising a wide range of religious programmes to commemorate the 350th martyrdom year of Guru Sahib with great reverence and respect.
He informed that Nagar Kirtans will commence on November 20 from Talwandi Sabo, Gurdaspur and Faridkot. The Nagar Kirtan beginning from Takht Sri Damdama Sahib will halt overnight in Mohali on November 21. Additionally, a grand Nagar Kirtan will set off from Srinagar on November 19.
All Nagar Kirtans will converge at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22. MLA Kulwant Singh further shared that from November 23 to 25, a series of events—including religious ceremonies, a Sarb Dharam Sammelan, a special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Dhadi and Kavishar Darbars, Kirtan Darbar, Gurbani Katha and a drone show—will be held at Sri Anandpur Sahib. He appealed to residents of the district to visit the sacred birthplace of the Khalsa Panth in large numbers and pay their respects to Guru Sahib during the historic commemorations.
A large number of devotees from the village and surrounding areas participated in the event.SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur,DSP Harsimran Singh Bal and Naib Tehsildar Harjot Singh were also present. Guru Ka Langar was served continuously to all attendees.
