Eight killed in China landslides

At least eight people were killed and 24 missing Tuesday after heavy rains caused landslides in China's Chongqing province.Rescue teams, including fire-fighters and police, have evacuated over 7,000 residents to safe locations, Xinhua reported.The missing include 11 coal miners in Yunyang county who were buried due to a landslide Monday.Heavy rains started in Yunyang, Wuxi, Fengjie and Wushan in Chongqing since Sunday, disrupting traffic and cutting off power supply and communication lines.
