Garbage will no longer be dumped on Jhabbal Road: All garbage will be removed from the garbage dump on Jhabbal Road: Dr. Ajay Gupta

MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, representing the Central Assembly constituency, inspected the garbage dump on Jhabbal Road today. MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that due to recent heavy rains, all the roads leading to the Bhagtawala garbage dump were damaged.
Tractor trolleys carrying garbage were unable to reach the Bhagtawala dump to prevent accidents. He stated that this led to garbage being dumped on Jhabbal Road. He stated that in response to this problem, he had been in constant communication with the Municipal Commissioner and Municipal officials and had all the roads leading to the Bhagtawala dump repaired quickly.
He stated that now all tractor trolleys collecting garbage from the city are going to the Bhagtawala garbage dump. He added that garbage will no longer be dumped at the garbage dump near Jhabbal Road.
MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that all the garbage from the garbage dump near Jhabbal Road will be removed in the coming days. He added that bioremediation work is progressing rapidly at the Bhagtawala garbage dump.
He stated that the garbage from the Jhabbal Road dump will be transported to the Bhagtawala dump for bioremediation. He added that work on the Jhabbal Road has already begun. He stated that the road outside the dump will also be constructed with premix within two to three days.
MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta stated that the city's sanitation will be improved within the next 20 days. He stated that the city's poor sanitation system is a legacy of previous governments.
He stated that previous governments had awarded a 25-year contract to a company for cleaning the city of Amritsar. The company was not performing its duties properly. He added that the Municipal Corporation has now awarded the contract to a new company.
He said that within the next 20 days, approximately 80 vehicles will be on the streets for the city's door-to-door cleaning system by the new company. A month later, all vehicles and other machinery for door-to-door garbage collection will be on the streets.
He said that by the end of December, the cleanliness system in Amritsar, will be at its best. Aam Aadmi Party volunteers and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
