Maharishi Valmiki enriched India’s cultural and spiritual heritage: Rajesh Nagar

Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the State Government is running the Sant Mahapurush Samman evam Vichar Prasar Yojana. 

Through this initiative, the government is making successful efforts to promote social harmony and spread the inspiring stories of great saints and spiritual leaders among the people. He said that if we do not remember the great personalities of our society, then the important aspects of our civilization will remain confined to the pages of history.

Sh. Rajesh Nagar attended a programme in Faridabad as the Chief Guest on the auspicious occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. On this occasion, sanitation workers were also felicitated.Addressing the gathering, Sh. Rajesh Nagar said programmes are being organized across the country and the state to celebrate Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Maharishi Valmiki, the composer of the Ramayana and the first poet (Adikavi) of Sanskrit literature, who enriched India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. 

Maharishi Valmiki inspired humanity to follow the path of righteousness, equality, and religion. He was a symbol of knowledge, truth, and justice. He conveyed the message to every section of society that through hard work, honesty, and education, one can achieve great heights in life.
