North Kashmir school locked since six days against HM transfer

The middle school in North Kashmir’s Handwara area is locked from the last six days as parents stopped sending their ward to the school against the ‘undue’ transfer of the headmaster. According to the KNS correspondent, locals at Batagund area of Handwara are at present up in arms against the local administration for transferring the head master of the school sans any reason. They stated that the head master had played vital role in educating the area at large and his transfer would badly affect the academics of the region.

As a mark of protest, the parents of the school going children have stopped sending their wards to the schools and the institute is locked from the last five days. The reports added that the locals also staged a protest sit in against the transfer of the head master- urging the administration and the education department to stop the transfer of the school headmaster. They protesters have stated that they would not send their children to the school until the transfer is not reverted. (KNS)
