In old city’s Khaniyar, 40 NC men on Sunday joined Peoples’ Democratic Party with the   PDP leader and candidate Khaniyar Constituency Mohammad Khurshid Alam welcoming the new entrants into the party fold.A party convention on Sunday took place at Koolipora Khaniyar wherein hundreds of party activists along with common people participated. While highlighting the role of the PDP in bring change into the lives of the perturbed people of Srinagar, the leaders highlighted the role of the party in creating the sense of security among masses after 2002 elections.

During the event, 40 NC men of national conference besides Deputy Youth NC president Mr  Sahil Pandith, Mehraj-ud-din Digoo and G.M. Malik made formal entry into PDP- stating that they have made right choice at the right time as the atrocities being committed by NC regime upon the people has transgressed limits. the leaders said that NC has ruining the old city in lieu of power and atrocities are being committed without any check.

PDP leader Mohammad Khurshid Alam while welcoming them into the party fold said that the need of the hour is to understand that change for the better future of Kashmir is must and has become inevitable.Mohammad Shafi Kundangar, Showkat Hafiz, Mohammad Ramzan Shiekh besides others also spoke during the occasion.Later Alam led scores of people in a form of procession in old city wherein he also thanked the people of Khaniyar for making strengthening the party every day after.
